Dear Sirs: Dennis, here. I have been “live-streaming” some of your programs (sermons) for several weeks, maybe months, now. I have been successful in accessing some of the sermons but not others. I have windows player and, for some reason, (codec used, or file format used) not jiving with my player, I cannot access the bible study and sabbath service for June 18th and 19th, 2010 with Bill Watson. I understand that there is a problem with my system but I am not computer savvy, enough to troubleshoot it, correctly. Has CGI got a dvd for that sermon/study,that I can get to circumvent this situation or would it really be very simple to correct the inability of my Windows Player to play the existing file and/or codec used to compress the file, originally. I guess I was under the mistaken impression that this problem would just “go away” if I waited a month or two. LOL! I have had “pimples” during adolescence which just didn’t seem to want to disappear on their own but they did. Isn’t this the same type of situation? I hope that my attempt at levity is not irritating to anyone! I will ask one of my friends in the church if she can lend me some good advice about this situation. Maybe “I” should just give up watching my ‘puter, altogether. That would be one way to avoid this problem but obviously it would not augment this aspect of my spiritual growth. Thanks for any positive criticism you may have or be, at liberty, to offer. DP.

      Hi Dennis,

If you are referring to downloading and watching sermons after the fact on the sermons page the codec used is H.264 with AAC audio. This is a standard format, and should be playable with most/all updated systems. You may also want to try playing the downloaded videos with VLC (Video Lan Client which is a very good multi-operating system media player) http://www.videolan.org

If you are having problems with the live streaming please do let us know. Also two of the most recent sermons had the incorrect link for downloading and those have been fixed.
      Regards,

      COGNanaimo
